Verizon Grant Opportunity

We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering again with Verizon to offer an exciting grant opportunity for small businesses. Verizon is providing $10,000 grants through its Verizon Small Business Digital Ready platform, designed to support entrepreneurs by offering access to capital, resources, and business tools. This collaboration aligns perfectly with WBC’s goal of empowering small business owners, especially women and minority-led businesses, to overcome financial barriers and achieve sustainable growth.

Through the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready platform, business owners can access more than 50 free online courses, available in English and Spanish. In addition to courses, the platform offers one-on-one and group coaching, mentorship from industry leaders, and the chance to engage in virtual and in-person events that foster community. The best part is that small business owners who take part in these offerings can also unlock the chance to apply for a $10,000 grant to support their business.

The impact of this initiative is already significant, with over 350,000 small businesses having benefitted from the program nationwide, 51% of which are women-owned and 62% led by Black or Hispanic entrepreneurs. At WBC, we are excited to be part of this impactful initiative and help our local entrepreneurs tap into these valuable resources.

To apply for the grant, small business owners must register on the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready platform. After registering, they must complete two activities—either taking courses, participating in coaching sessions, or joining community events—between July 1, 2024, and December 13, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Upon completing these activities, they will be eligible to apply for the $10,000 grant.
